Abstract
This research was aimed to determine the effect of various types of organic mulch on the growth and yield of soybeans (Glycine max L. Merril). This research used a Randomized Block Design 1 factor, which was consisted of 6 levels, with 5 replication so there are 30 experimental units. The factor were no mulch, rice straw mulch, coconut coir powder mulch, bamboo leaf litter mulch, wood sawdust mulch, and rice husk mulch. The application during soybean cultivation observed parameters were plant height (cm), number of leaves (leaves), header fresh weight (g), root fresh weight (g), root dry weight (g), root dry header (g), number of pods (fruit), pod weight(g), and weight of 100 seeds (g). The result showed that treatment with the concentration of rice straw mulch tends gave the best result. On the paramaters on plant height 5-6 weeks after planting (40,95; 49,18 cm), header fresh weight (43,04g), number of pods (71,40 fruit), and pod weight (36,02g). While the effect was not significant on plant height 1 during 4 weeks after planting, number of leaves, root fresh weight, root dry weight, root dry header, and weigh of 100 seeds.

Additional Information: | Budidaya kedelai saat ini ditanam dengan menggunakan penutup tanah sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman. Sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh berbagai jenis mulsa organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai (Glycine max L. Merril). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai jenis mulsa organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai (Glycine max L. Merril). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok 1 faktor yang terdiri dari 6 taraf, dengan 5 ulangan sehingga terdapat 30 satuan percobaan. Faktor-faktor tersebut adalah tanpa mulsa, mulsa jerami padi, mulsa serbuk sabut kelapa, mulsa serasah daun bambu, mulsa serbuk gergaji kayu, dan mulsa sekam padi. Aplikasi selama budidaya kedelai parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (daun), berat segar tajuk (g), berat segar akar (g), berat kering akar (g), tajuk kering akar (g), jumlah polong (buah), berat polong (g), dan berat 100 biji (g). Mulsa jerami padi berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai pada tinggi tanaman 5-6 minggu setelah tanam dengan rata-rata (40,95; 49,18 cm), berat segar tajuk (43,04g), jumlah polong (71,40 buah), dan berat polong (36,02g). | |||||||||
