Abstract
This study discusses the character education contained in the novel Korupsi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Character education is concerned with a deliberate conscious effort to instill good values in a person. According to the Index Perception Corruption (IPK) survey conducted by Transparency International or TI, Indonesia's CPI score is still classified as having many corruption cases. Every year TI conducts a GPA survey, in 2021 Indonesia's GPA is at a score of 38 out of 100 and is ranked 96 out of 180 countries. The higher the score obtained, the lower the level of corruption. The results of a study by Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) show that from 2016 to September 2021, the state suffered a loss of IDR 1.6 trillion in the education sector with 240 corruption cases being processed by the authorities. This shows that there are still many corrupt practices in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to identify the value of character education contained in the novel Korupsi. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with content analysis techniques. The data source for this research is the novel Korupsi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The results of the study show that the novel Korupsi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer contains 18 character education values that have been formulated by the Center for Curriculum of the Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of National Education, and are relevant to be used as teaching materials in secondary schools as an effort to instill character education. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam novel Korupsi karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Pendidikan karakter berkenaan dengan usaha sadar yang disengaja untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai kebaikan dalam diri seseorang. Menurut survei Indeks Persepsi Korupsi (IPK) yang dilakukan oleh Transparency International atau TI, skor IPK Indonesia masih tergolong banyak terjadi kasus korupsi. Setiap tahunnya TI melakukan survei IPK, pada tahun 2021 IPK Indonesia berada pada skor 38 dari 100 dan menempati peringkat 96 dari 180 negara. Semakin tinggi skor yang diperoleh, maka semakin rendah tingkat korupsinya. Dalam hasil kajian Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) menunjukkan sepanjang tahun 2016 hingga September 2021, negara mengalami kerugian sebesar Rp1,6 triliun di sektor pendidikan dengan 240 kasus korupsi yang diproses pihak berwenang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak terjadi praktik korupsi di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam novel Korupsi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis konten/isi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Korupsi karya pramoedya Ananta Toer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa novel Korupsi karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer mengandung 18 nilai pendidikan karakter yang telah dirumuskan oleh Pusat Kurikulum Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional, dan relevan untuk dijadikan bahan ajar di sekolah menengah sebagai upaya untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter.
