Abstract
LISDIANA NURFITRIANI. 2022. Effectiveness of brown seaweed (Turbinaria conoides) and screwpine leaves extract (Pandanimus amaryllifolius Roxb.) as a body lotion raw materials. Supervised by Dini Surilayani and Ginanjar Pratama Turbinaria conoides is a brown seaweed that can be used as a cosmetic preparation, one of which is body lotion. The bioactive ingredients that can be used as raw materials for cosmetic preparations in T. conoides are phenol hydroquinone, flavonoids, alginates, and triterpenoids. The aroma, color, and appearance of body lotion preparations can be obtained from natural ingredients such as screwpine leaves. This study aims to determine the best body lotion formulation from T. conoides seaweed and screwpine leaves. This study used an experimental method which was carried out from June to July 2022 at the Fisheries Product Processing Technology Laboratory, Department of Fisheries Science, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, with 4 treatments and 2 replications. The treatment used was the ratio between T. conoides and screwpine leaves with the ratio: L0 (Control), L1 (1:1), L2 (1:2) and L3 (2:1) using Completely Randomized Design. Parameters were observed antioxidant, viscosity, pH, homogeneity, centrifugation, humidity, and sensory. The results showed that the best formulation for body lotion was the L3 formulation (2:1) with a pH value of 6.65 ± 0.71 and an IC50 value of 162.575 ± 0.29 ppm, a viscosity of 33.275 ± 35.35 cPs. , humidity 58.46 ± 2.23 and has a stable and homogeneous body lotion preparation. The use of more fragrant pandan leaves provides the texture, aroma and color that the panelists prefer. Keywords: Body lotion, Pandan leaves, Turbinaria conoides

Dibimbing oleh Dini Surilayani dan Ginanjar Pratama Turbinaria conoides merupakan rumput laut berwarna coklat yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sediaan kosmetik, salah satunya adalah body lotion. Bahan bioaktif yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku sediaan kosmetik pada T. conoides adalah fenol hidrokuinon, flavonoid, alginat, dan triterpenoid. Aroma, warna, dan kenampakan sediaan body lotion dapat diperoleh dari bahan alami seperti daun ulir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formulasi body lotion terbaik dari rumput laut T. conoides dan daun ulir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2022 di Laboratorium Teknologi Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan, Jurusan Ilmu Perikanan, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, dengan 4 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah perbandingan antara T. conoides dan daun cireng dengan perbandingan: L0 (Kontrol), L1 (1:1), L2 (1:2) dan L3 (2:1) dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Parameter yang diamati adalah antioksidan, viskositas, pH, homogenitas, sentrifugasi, kelembaban, dan sensori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formulasi body lotion terbaik adalah formulasi L3 (2:1) dengan nilai pH 6,65 ± 0,71 dan nilai IC50 162,575 ± 0,29 ppm, viskositas 33,275 ± 35,35 cPs. , kelembaban 58,46 ± 2,23 serta memiliki sediaan body lotion yang stabil dan homogen.
