Abstract
This research aimed to analyze the motivation learning and the creativity of students through joyful learning strategy on the plantae concept at 10th grade of SMAN 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. This research used descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample used was 40 students of 10th grade of science class 2 senior high school which were determined by simple random sampling. The instruments used in this research consisted of a test instrument in the form of creative thinking ability tests and a non-test instrument in the form of motivational quetionnaire sheets, creative product assessment observation sheets and learning implementation observation sheet. Based on the results of this research, through the application of joyful learning strategy on the plantae concept it showed students’ motivation was categorized as good with average value of 78,46. The students’ creativity based on creative thinking ability test was categorized as good with average value of 66,92 and students’ creativity based on the results of the assessment of creative products created by the students was also categorized as good with average value of 75. Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar dan kreativitas siswa melalui penerapan strategi joyful learning pada konsep plantae di kelas X SMAN 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 2 berjumlah 40 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari instrumen tes berupa tes uraian kemampuan berpikir kreatif serta instrumen non-tes berupa lembar angket motivasi, lembar observasi penilaian produk kreatif siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, melalui penerapan strategi joyful learning pada konsep plantae menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 78,46. Adapun kreativitas siswa berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 66,92 dan kreativitas siswa berdasarkan hasil penilaian produk kreatif yang dibuat oleh siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 75.
