Abstract

ABSTRAK Prima Permata. NIM 6662170073. Skripsi. Pembingkaian Konde.co Dalam Pembelaan Pada Kelompok Transgender (Analisis Framing Isu Kelompok Transgender di Media Online Konde.co). Pembimbing I: Dr. H. Idi Dimyati, M.I.Kom, dan Pembimbing II: Burhanudin, M.Si. Transgendermerupakan istilah yang digunakan pada orang yang memiliki identitas gender atau ekspresi gender berbeda dengan jenis kelamin mereka saat dilahirkan. Meskipun keberadaannya sudah terbilang cukup lama, namun kelompok transgender masih sulit mendapakan hak, kesetaraan sosial, dan keadilan. Media memiliki peran besar dalam menggiring opini publik dan menunjukkan potensi untuk mendorong pengembangan keberadaan kelompok marjinal. Seperti halnya media online Konde.co yang turut memperjuangkan keberadaan kelompok transgender. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan berlandaskan paradigma kritis yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembingkaian yang dilakukan Konde.co dalam pembelaan pada kelompok transgender dengan menggunakan analisis framing Robert N. Entman.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi, penelusuran online dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Konde.co membingkai isu kelompok transgender dengan menekankan persoalan diskriminasi yang dialami kelompok transgendermengenai hak kesetaraan sebagai warga negara. Adanya konstruksi sosial yang ada di masyarakat dianggap sebagai penyebab masalah. Kelompok transgender layak diperlakukan secara manusiawi dan layak mendapatkan hak yang sama seperti yang lainnya, termasuk perlindungan dari negara. Pemerintah harus tegas berpijak pada landasan konstitusional dalam menghentikan propaganda kebencian terhadap kelompok LGBTIQserta memberikan pendidikan publik tentang pemahaman gender kepada masyarakat. Transgender is a term used to describe people who have a gender identity or gender expression that is different from the gender they were born with. Even though they have existed for quite a long time, transgender community still find it difficult to obtain rights, social equality, and justice.The media has a big role in driving public opinion and shows the potential to encourage the development of the existence of marginalized groups. Like the online media, Konde.co, which has also fought for the existence of transgender community. This study uses a qualitative approach based on a critical paradigm that aims to find out how Konde.co's framing is in the defense of the transgender community by using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis.Data was collected by means of documentation studies, online searches and interviews. The results showed that Konde.co framed the issue of transgender by emphasizing the issue of discrimination experienced by transgender groups regarding the right to equality as citizens.The existence of social constructions that exist in society is considered the cause of the problem.Transgender people deserve to be treated humanely and deserve the same rights as the others, including protection from the state. The government must firmly stand on the constitutional grounds in stopping hate propaganda against LGBTIQ community and providing education about gender understanding to the public.
