Additional Information: | In Indonesia, rice was the main staple food, almost all Indonesian people consume rice. However, pests are still a major problem for farmers until now. Almost every planting season there was always a pest attack, one of which was the brown planthopper. This pest was a major pest in rice plants and has become a global pest and this pest causes Hopperburn in rice plants. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of the use of Vermicompos with different types of waste on two varieties of rice plants to the intensity of the attack of Brown Planthoppers. This research was carried out in November 2019 - March 2020 at the integrated farming system. This research used an experiment method with the research design used is a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two factors with three replications. The first factor was Vermikompos (P) 5 levels while the second factor was rice varieties (V) with 2 levels so that there were 10 treatments. The results showed that the granting of vermicompos with different wastes gave an undifferent result to the breakdown of rice plants in the vegetative phase and gives a very real influence on the parameters of the intensity of crop damage in the generative phase. While the used of two varieties of rice does not give a distinct effect on all parameters. Keyword : Brown planthoppers, effect, rice, vermicompost | |||||||||
