Abstract

Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Indonesia from year to year are increasing and quite high, in the province of Banten sufferers of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in 2021 as many as 2.3%, while in RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang in 2018 as many as 183 patients. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a failure of kidney function to maintain metabolism and fluid and electrolyte balance due to progressive kidney destruction with manifestations of accumulation of metabolic waste in the blood. In CKD patients, kidney function decreases drastically and can cause health problems, one of which is excess fluid volume (hypervolemia), if not treated immediately, it can lead to edema, shortness of breath, and even death. The method used is descriptive method. Collecting data through interviews with patients or their families, medical records, and further studies. Actions taken to overcome the problem of excess fluid volume (hypervolemia) in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients are monitoring fluid intake and output, monitoring body weight, limiting fluid intake, collaboration in the administration of antidiuretics. Conclusion The problem of hypervolemia in patient 1 has not been resolved, patient is scheduled for hemodialysis, while patient 2 has resolved the problem characterized by a decrease in the amount of fluid, no edema. Suggestions for kidney patients should be cooperative in limiting fluid intake. If the patient is allowed to go home so that the patient is able to maintain his health.
