Additional Information: The aim of this study was to determine the comparison of learning outcomes in students' reading comprehension using the Know-Want-Learned (KWL) strategy and the Question Answer Relationship (QAR) Strategy. The research methodology used in this research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted at MTSs Buah Gede. In second semester of the 2020-2021 school years. This research involved two classes VIII MTSs Buah Gede which were appointed based on the random group sampling technique. One class was chosen as the experimental group and another class was chosen as the control group. The sample in this study amounted to 58 students. The instrument used is multiple choice which is divided into two parts; pre-test and post-test. To test the validity, researchers used content validity and construct validity. In addition, researchers used Kolmogorov's Smirnov to test inter-rater reliability. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed them using the T-test. In analyzing the data, researchers used SPSS v.25. Researchers get the results of the significance test for t-count is 5.620 while the t-table is 2.756. Shows that t-count is higher than t-table (5.620 > 2.756). It can be seen by the higher score of experimental class in post-test was 95 and the higher score of control class was 90. With the mean value of KWL Strategy 81.72 while QAR strategy 80.51. This shows that the experimental group is higher than the control group (81.72 > 80.51). Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. In other words, there are comparable mean scores using the KWL and QAR strategies. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the KWL strategy is better than the QAR strategy in students' reading comprehension. Keyword: Reading Comprehension, Narrative text, Know-Want-Learned (KWL) Strategy, and Question Answer Relationship (QAR) Strategy.
