Abstract
1111160409 Pencemaran lingkungan merupakan masalah yang sulit untuk dihentikan di kalangan masyarakat, pencemaran lingkungan terjadi karena adanya aktivitas manusia demi menghasilkan barang atau produksi. Di Kota Tangerang pencemaran lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh limbah pabrik, setiap tahunnya pencemaran lingkungan oleh limbah pabrik mengalami peningkatan, pabrik yang memiliki limbah tidak bisa mengolah limbahnya sesuai dengan kadar batas yang telah di tentukan oleh pemerintah. Penelitian pada kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pemerintah dalam menanggulangi kasus pencemaran limbah sesuai dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 101 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pengelolaan Limbah Bahan Berbahaya Dan Beracun. Peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian menggunakan metode wawancara langsung di lapangan, dengan melakukan wawancara penelitian tersebut dapat mengetahui sejauh mana pemerintah dapat menyelesaikan kasus pencemaran lingkungan hidup. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh membuktikan bahwa aktivitas pabrik menimbulkan pencemaran pada lingkungan hidup, penyebabnya adalah kurang layaknya proses pengolahan limbah, limbah yang diproduksi belum sesuai dengan aturan yang diberikan oleh pemerintah. Dari masalah yang ditimbulkan maka peran pemerintah sangatlah ditunggu oleh masyarakat, masyarakat sangat bergantung pada tindakan pemerintah atas pencemaran yang terjadi.

| Additional Information: | Environmental pollution is a problem that is difficult to determine among the community, environmental pollution occurs due to human activities in order to produce goods or production. In Tangerang City, environmental pollution is caused by factory waste, every year environmental pollution by factory waste has increased, factories that have waste cannot process their waste according to the limit levels set by the government. Research in this case aims to determine the role of the government in tackling cases of waste pollution in accordance with Government Regulation Number 101 of 2014 concerning Management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste. Researchers in conducting research using the direct interview method in the field, by conducting research interviews can find out to what extent the government can solve cases of environmental pollution. The results of the research obtained evidence that activities that cause pollution in the environment, the cause is not suitable for waste treatment processes, the waste produced is not in accordance with the regulations given by the government. From the problems that arise, the role of government is very much awaited by the community, the community is very dependent on government actions for pollution that occurs.
