Abstract

ABSTRACT LutfiHerianto, NIM. 6661180002. Thesis. Effectiveness of Independent Village Management and Disadvantaged Villages in Pandeglang Regency Case Study in Labuan Village and Ganggaeng Village. Public Administration Study Program.Faculty of Social Science and Political Science. Advisor I : Drs. H. Oman SupriyadiM.Si and Advisor II : RiswandaPh.D Village is an area which is the embodiment or unity of social, economic, geographical, political, and cultural, inhabited by residents with homogeneous social interactions and most of them work in the agricultural sector and have the power to hold their own government. This study aims to find out how the differences in village management between Independent Villages and Disadvantaged Villages in Pandeglang Regency are Case Studies in Labuan Village and Ganggaeng Village. In this study, the researchers chose to use descriptive analysis techniques with a qualitative approach and use the management theory of George R Terry which consists of four indicators, namely 1. Planning, 2.Organizing, 3.Actuating 4.Controlling. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of management in Labuan Village is quite good because it has quite good road access, has natural resources and qualified human resources, and this village always evaluates every week in order to improve the quality of service to the community. Labuan Village does not yet have an Original Village Opinion (PAD) for its village. While the management of Ganggaeng Village is still not optimal in carrying out its duties, this is due to the lack of qualified human resources and also the lack of public concern for the progress of the village, therefore the Pandeglang Regency Government must also give more attention to Ganggaeng Village and prioritize it in every step of the way. a program organized by the district government so that this village can develop for the better.
