Abstract

ABSTRAK Nabilla Amalia Husna. NIM. 6670170049. Aktivisme Mahasiswa Banten dalam Penolakan RUU Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law (Studi terhadap Aliansi Geger Banten). Dosen Pembimbing: Yeby Ma’asan Mayrudin, M.A. Program Studi Ilmu Pemerintahan, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, 2021. Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai aktivisme penolakan terhadap keberadaan RUU Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law. Aktivisme dilakukan oleh mahasiswa di Banten yang tergabung di dalam aliansi Geger Banten. Di mana aliansi Geger Banten merupakan wadah gerakan bagi mahasiswa di Banten dalam menyikapi isu yang sedang berkembang, khususnya pada sektor pendidikan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data diperoleh melalui hasil observasi, wawancara, dan tulisan mengenai aliansi Geger Banten. Adapun teori yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah tujuh elemen The Active Citizenship yang dikemukakan oleh Pedersen: 1) Democratic value, 2) Identity and Awareness, 3) Understanding and Interest, 4) Self Confident and Expectation, 5) Skill and Abillity, 6) Active Behavior, 7) Voice and Influence.Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah bahwa aktivisme ditempuh melalui berbagai cara, meliputi aksi media, agitasi dan propaganda, kajian dan diskusi, aksi long march, orasi, pembacaan puisi, aksi teatrikal, dan aksi demonstrasi. Aktivisme penolakan yang dilakukan oleh aliansi Geger Banten merupakan manifestasi the activecitizenship dalam kehidupan demokrasi. Di mana aktivisme dilakukan dengan menerapkan nilai-nilai demokratis, memanfaatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam berkomunikasi dan membentuk opini publik, serta melakukan tindakan aktif berupa aktivisme penolakan. Namun jika ditinjau melalui dimensi suara dan pengaruh, aliansi Geger Banten belum dapat memengaruhi pembuatan RUU Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law sebagai sebuah kebijakan publik. Banten Student Activism in Rejection of the Omnibus Law Job Creation Bill (Study of the Banten Geger Alliance). This study describes the activism of the rejection of the existence of the Omnibus Law Job Creation Bill. Activism is carried out by students in Banten who are members of the Geger Banten alliance. Where the Geger Banten alliance is a movement forum for students in Banten in addressing developing issues, especially in the education sector. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Sources of data obtained through observations, interviews, and writings about the Geger Banten alliance. The theory used by the researcher is the four elements of The Active Citizenship proposed by Pedersen: 11) Democratic value, 2) Identity and Awareness, 3) Understanding and Interest, 4) Self Confident and Expectation, 5) Skill and Abillity, 6) Active Behavior, 7) Voice and Influence..The results of the research carried out are that activism is pursued in various ways, including media actions, agitation and propaganda, studies and discussions, long march actions, speeches, poetry readings, theatrical actions, and demonstrations. The rejection activism by the Geger Banten alliance is a manifestation of the active citizenship in democratic life. Where activism is carried out by applying democratic values, utilizing abilities and skills in communicating and forming public opinion, and taking active actions in the form of refusal activism. However, if viewed through the dimensions of voice and influence, the Geger Banten alliance has not been able to influence the drafting of the Omnibus Law Job Creation Bill as a public policy.
