Abstract

The purpose of classroom action research (PTK) is to increase student activity and learning results in social studies about the history of money on third grade at SDN Anyar I. To achieve those purposes, the researcher is using active learning methods with index card match type. This research is using classroom action research methods with two cycles, they are first cycle and second cycle, each cycle consisting each of two learning meetings. During the study has conducted 4 learning meetings. The results showed that the data on the first cycle of learning action activities students got 67,85% and the second cycle got 89,28%. Furthermore, completeness related student learning results in the first cycle who scored ≥ 63 (KKM) of 69,44% (has not reached indicators of success). The results showed that the acquisition of the second cycle students who scored ≥ 63 (KKM) of 91,42% (has achieved the success indicators). So, active learning methods with index card match type in social studies about the history of money on third grade SDN Anyar I have shown activity and learning results that have been expected. This can be seen from the percentage progress and learning result activities are increasing. The conclusions of the research that using active learning index card match type can increase the activity and results of the third grade students of SDN Anyar I.
