Abstract
Big Red chilli (capsicum annum l) is a superior commodity that has a high economic value. Sekolah Lapangan pengendalian Hama Terpadu (SLPHT) is a counseling method for applying the integrated pest control with education sample model for adult by counseling and farmer training. The aim of SLPHT is to train the farmer so they can be an expert in the PHT field and also be able to apply it around their paddy field. Sukamanah is one of the village in Jiput district that has strong potential to develop big red chilli farm. The proved that this village has a high red chilli production. The aim of This research is to analyze the influence of SLPHT to the behavioral change of the red chilli farmer, including changes in knowledge attitude and the farmer`s skills in conducting red chilli farm in Sukamanah village, Districts of Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten Province. The writer used the qualitatif descriptif research method with the purposive election site in Sukamanah village, Districts of Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten Province which is where the writer was born. The writer also used the primer and secunder data. The sampling taked by using census. The respondents of this research are red chilli farmer from sukamanah village wich amounts to 46 people. The data collection technique is observation, and direct interview with the farmer in sukamanah and also study of literature. The measurement scale is used in this research which is likert scale. The analysis tools of this research is tabulation and paired sample ttest. Based on the data tabulation, the research result can be obtained that the influence of SLPHT to the behavioral change of the red chilli farmer , including changes in knowledge, attitude and the farmer`s skills. The result shows that there is a better change in knowledge, attitude and skills (from low to high) after they join the SLPHT programs Key words : SLPHT, Knowledge, attitude, skills
