Abstract

Coconut water contains cytokines hormone (5.8 mg/l), auxin (0.07 mg/l), a little gibberellins and other compounds that can stimulate the germination and the growth. The effectiveness of plant growth regulator in a plant is affected by the given concentration because difference concentration will make difference activity. The obstacle that is often faced by the planters in developing Mucuna is limited seed because it must be imported with enough expensive prices. The question that is often asked by the planters is what technique to increase the plants is so that giving high success life. The aim of this research is to know the concentration of the best coconut water to increase the scarified Mucuna brateata growth rate. The research used non factorial randomized category designed consists of six tests. The treatment is giving concentration of coconut water 0% (control) = k0, concentration coconut water 10% = k1, concentration of coconut water 20% = k2, concentration of coconut water 30% = k3. The result of this research indicated that giving coconut water made significant affect to the growth of plant height and length leaves of Mucuna and relative growth rate of plants but it did not make significant affect to age parameter of leaf emerge and number of leaf.
