Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe (I) determine the activity of students of class V Saga II Elementary School, District Balaraja, Tangerang, Banten Province, Academic Year 2014/2015 in the process of learning Indonesian using journal writing techniques and (2) increase the ability of write a narrative essay elementary School fifth grade students Saga II, District Balaraja, Tangerang, Banten province, 2014/2015 academic year through the implementation of journal writing techniques on Indonesian subjects. This study was conducted in class V Saga II Elementary School, District Balaraja, Tangerang District, Banten Province 2014/2015 academic year. The research method used is the method of PTK models Mc Taggart. This study was conducted as two cycles. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, test results of learning, and reflection. The data analysis techniques used are observation sheet activities of teachers and students, interview guides, achievement test, and field notes. The result showed that learning to write narrative essays based on personal experience with the application of the technique using the journal witing effective. This is evidenced by the comparison of the average write narrative essays prasiklus (without application of journal writing techniques) students who achieve mastery as many as 14 students (45.16%), the cycle first and second cycle (with the implementation of journal writing techniques) cycle value of unity as much as 20 students (64.52%) and second cycle reaches 100% mastery in learning. So, there is a difference in the average value of unity at prasiklus cycle to 19.36 and the second cycle was 35.48. These findings prove that the implementation of journal writing techniques can improve the ability to write a narrative essays on class V students of SD Negeri Saga II, Balaraja Subdistrict, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, academic year 2014/2015

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Saga II, Kecamatan Balajara, Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten, Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 dalam proses pemelajaran bahasa indonesia dengan menggunakan teknik jurnal writing dan (2) meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas V SD Negeri Saga II, Kecamatan Balaraja, Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten, Tahhun Pelajaran 2014/2015 melalui penerapan teknik jurnal writing pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas V SD Negeri Saga II, Kecamatan Balaraja, Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten, Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode PTK model Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, tes hasil belajar, dan refleksi. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan siswa, pedoman wawancara, instrumen tes hasil belajar, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pemelajaran menulis karangan narasi berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi dengan menggunakan penerapan teknik jurnal witing berjalan efektif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perbandingan rata-rata menulis karangan narasi prasiklus (tanpa penerapan teknik jurnal writing) siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan sebanyak 14 siswa (45,16%), siklus kesatu dan siklus kedua (dengan penerapan teknik jurnal writing) nilai siklus kesatu sebanyak 20 siswa (64,52%) dan siklus kedua mencapai ketuntasan dalam belajar 100%. jadi, terdapat selisih nilai rata-rata pada prasiklus ke siklus kesatu 19,36 dan siklus kedua adalah 35,48. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan teknik jurnal writing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Saga II, Kecamatan Balajara, Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten, Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015
