Abstract

Electric arc furnace used to melt the iron raw material in the steel industry.electricarc furnace is the biggest load that can cause interference among which,short circuit affecting thepower quality on the electrical grid in the form ofvoltage interruption. The wavelet transform is a tool that can beused to analyzethe signalsnon-stationary andexpected to detect disturbances that occur duringoperation of electricarc furnace. From the results of the voltage measurementoperation of electric arc furnace there are four times the disruption of voltageunbalance, a disorder that can be identified by the wavelet transform is a disorderswell voltage and voltage sag. At Va phase, the value of voltage disturbancesbiggest swell worth 1.64 PU, whereas for the interruption of its voltage sag was0.82 PU. In the phase Vb, the biggest swell of voltage disturbances value worth1.32 PU, and for voltage sag biggest disruption is 0.34 PU. In the phase voltageVc biggest upsets occurring swell of 1.73 PU and its biggest upsets voltage sag0.72 PU.
