Abstract

Dried transport in general use wet system covered with a plastic bag and wet open system with the container or drum. The main obstacle is often experienced in the transportation of wet system is the limited amount of capacity, triggering the physical damage to the fish, and the stress on the fish and even death. The purpose of this study to determine the best concentration of durian leaf extract as an ingredient of anesthesia in Colossoma macropomum and know the the survival of fish during the time of transport. It consists of a preliminary study to determine the potential infuse of durian leaves as anesthesia and primary research material as a form of media applications on the system dry. The research was conducted at the fish processing technology laboratory Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Serang and Fish Breeding centers, Baros. The results showed that the effective concentration of durian leaves infuse used to faint the fish is 5900 ppm with a faint average 101 minutes and recovery time is 1.75 minutes. Usage infuse of durian leaves in Pomfret with a concentration of 5900 ppm reached the level of survival and transport in 2 hour 83,3%. The quality of water obtained from this study is a pH of 7,2, a temperature is 29,8°C, DO 5,6 mg/L and TAN is 0.6 mg/L
