Abstract
Motile Aeromonas Septicemia is one of catfish disease. The use of inappropriate antibiotic can lead to residues. The study aims to determine pharmacokinetics, withdrawl time and efficacy of oxytetracycline against Motile Aeromonas Septicemia caused by Aeromonas hydrophila. Pharmacokinetics and withdrawl time using exponential or logarithmic regression equation. Efficacy test used completely randomized design, namely KN (negative control), KP (positive control) and PO (cure treatment). Research conducted on July trough August in The Center Of Fish Disease And Enviromental Investigation, Serang-Banten. The distribution of drug absorption in the organ (Liver (1077,37 µg/kg; 724,83 µg/kg; 504,32 µg/kg; 139,91 µg/kg), kidney (1424,37 µg/kg; 1114,04 µg/kg; 1328,61 µg/kg; 519,9 µg/kg), spleen (1314,75 µg/kg; 1242,22 µg/kg; 1092,86 µg/kg; 1152,59 µg/kg)) faster than the meat. The withdrawl time reached in day 4 after treatment. The use 1 g / 4 kg of oxytetracycline is not effective as a madecine for Motile Aeromonas Septicemia disease.
