Abstract

YULIANA RUSDIANI. The Effect Of Applying Problem Based Learning with Scaffolding Techniques to Mathematical Problem Solving Ability of Students MTs. (Quasi-Experimental Research a the 8th Grade in one of MTs in Ciruas�Serang). Research Paper Department of Mathematics Education. Teacher Training And Education Faculty. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Serang 2015. This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical problem solving ability, so it is necessary to look for alternative appropriate learning in order to improve the ability to solve mathematical problem student, one is the effect of appliying problem based learning with Scaffolding techniques. This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of appliying problem based learning with scaffolding techniques to the quality improvement of students’ mathematocal problem solving ability, 2) Students’ response to the learning of appliying problem based learning with scaffolding. From this study it can be concluded that : 1) Appliying problem based learning with scaffolding technique can give effect to the quality improvement of students’ mathematical problem solving ability, 2) In general students give positive response to the study of mathematics learning with scaffolding techniques of appliying problem based learning

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik, sehingga perlu dicari alternatif pembelajaran yang tepat agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa, salah satunya adalah pengaruh penerapan problem based learning dengan teknik scaffolding. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) Pengaruh penerapan problem based learning dengan teknik scaffolding terhadap kualitas peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa, 2) Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran penerapan problem based learning dengan teknik scaffolding. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1) Penerapan problem based learning dengan teknik scaffolding dapat memberi pengaruh terhadap kualitas peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa, 2) Secara umum siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan penerapan problem based learnin
