Abstract
The research objectives is to analyze, reviewing and to find out how much income did the melon farming fostered by Agriculture Department of Cilegon City in the production period of 2013, to discover whether the melon farming fostered by Agriculture Department of Cilegon City is feasible for a further development, to analyze the melon farming Break Even Point (BEP) through production volume BEP analysis and price of production BEP. The method used is Survey Method. Determination of the location is on purpose. Data used in this research is a primary data that been obtained from the interview and direct observation with melon farmer fostered by Agriculture Department of Cilegon City by using the question list (questionnaire) and secondary data collected from reading material and literature that supported the research. Population of the research consist of 8 farmers. Sampel of the research is taken with the census method which in result of 8 farmers. Result of the research showhs that the average income per acre of melon farming in Cilegon City is Rp. 57.040.176,48 acquired from the difference between the revenue average per acre Rp. 109.917.495,03 with the average cost per acre Rp.52.877.318,75. Melon farming income in Cilegon City observed from Return Cost Ratio (R/C rastio) in average is 2,08 times bigger than 1, which means that the melon farming fostered by Agriculture Department of Cilegon City is feasible to be developed. The result also shows that the income in one production is benefited, and the Break Even Point (BEP) is reached at the production volume for class A melon 7.050 Kg, B class 8.813 Kg dan C class 10.575 Kg lower than the productivity have been achived by the farmers. Break Even Point (BEP) analysis of price production of A class Rp. 2.223, B class Rp. 1.639, C class Rp. 1.462. The prices gained by the farmers for each melon classs/level is higer than the break even point.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengkaji serta mengetahui besarnya pendapatan yang diperoleh usahatani melon binaan Dinas Pertanian Kota Cilegon pada periode produksi tahun 2013, mengetahui apakah usahatani melon binaan Dinas Pertanian Kota Cilegon layak untuk terus dikembangkan, menganalisis titik impas (BEP) usahatani melon melalui analisis BEP volume produksi dan BEP harga produksi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survey. Penetapan lokasi secara sengaja. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan observasi langsung dengan petani melon binaan Dinas Pertanian Kota Cilegon dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan (kuisioner) dan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari data yang diperoleh dari beberapa literatur atau bahan bacaan/pustaka yang dapat mendukung penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 8 petani. Sampel dalam penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan metode sensus yaitu sebanyak 8 petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah rata-rata pendapatan per Hektar yang diterima petani sebesar Rp. 57.040.176,48 yang diperoleh dari selisih antara rata-rata penerimaan per hektar sebesar Rp. 109.917.495,03 dengan rata-rata biaya per Hektar Rp.52.877.318,75. Pendapatan usahatani melon di Kota Cilegon dilihat dari analisis Return Cost Ratio (R/C rasio) rata-rata adalah 2,08 lebih besar dari 1 yang artinya usahatani melon binaan Dinas Pertanian Kota Cilegon layak untuk terus dikembangkan. Hal tersebut juga menunjukan bahwa pendapatan dalam satu kali produksi adalah menguntungkan dan break event point (BEP) dicapai pada BEP volume produksi melon kelas A 7.050 Kg, kelas B 8.813 Kg dan kelas C 10.575 Kg lebih rendah dari produktivitas yang telah dicapai oleh petani. Analisis titik impas (BEP) harga produksi kelas A Rp. 2.223, kelas B Rp. 1.639, kelas C Rp. 1.462. Harga yang dicapai petani untuk masing-masing kelas lebih tinggi dari titik impas. | |||||||||
