Abstract

This research was aimed to know mortality rate of cabbage caterpillar crop Crocidolomia pavonama that has been given etomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae with different consentration. This research was held at laboratory and greenhouse of research center for vegetable crops in Lembang of Bandung from June until August 2014. This reasearch used Randomized Completely Design (RCD) with 3 test, they were entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae dose pathogenicity test, etomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae pathogenicity test to stadia of Crocidolomia pavonana, and test of application way of entomophogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. Result of this research showed that etomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae has real influence to kill cabbage caterpillar Crocidolomia pavonama. Differentiation of concentration of etomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae dose concentration had real influence to mortality rate of cabbage caterpillar Crocidolomia pavonama. In larva stadia experiment of larva Crocidolomia pavonana 2nd grade instar, it was a stadia that has a highest mortality. It caused by fungus etomopathogenic Metarhizium anisopliae infection. Application method of immersion caterpillar and woof method was the best treatment because it showed highest mortality.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kematian ulat krop kubis (Crocidolomia pavonana) yang diberi jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di laboratorium dan rumah kaca Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran Lembang, Bandung sejak bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2014. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 pengujian diantaranya uji patogenisitas dosis jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae, uji patogenisitas jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae terhadap Stadia Crocidolomia pavonana, dan uji cara aplikasi jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae berpengaruh nyata dalam mematikan ulat Crocidolomia pavonana. Perbedaan konsentrasi dosis jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat kematian ulat Crocidolomia pavonana. Pada percobaan stadia larva Crocidolomia pavonana instar 2 merupakan stadia paling tinggi mortalitasnya yang disebabkan oleh infeksi jamur entomopatogen Metarhizium anisopliae. Metode aplikasi pencelupan ulat dan pakan merupakan perlakuan terbaik karena memperlihatkan mortalitas paling tinggi.
