Abstract

ABSTRACT Tri Wahyuni, 2227101835 "Improving Learning Outcomes Through Description Method Essay Writing Field Trip" The purpose of this study is to increase the activity and the learning outcomes of students in writing essays in class VI description SDN Eretan Tirtayasa District of Serang. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research with 2 cycles. Means of data collection in the form of a bouquet descriptions, teacher observation sheet activities, and student activities. Data processing is done by calculating the percentage of written test results, the percentage of teachers' activities, and the percentage of student activity. results of these calculations are used to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes using the Field Trip. Improved student learning outcomes in each cycle is as follows: first cycle of students who take a minimum completeness criteria (KKM) 65 is 11 students or 42.31% who did not complete 15 students or 57.69%, while in the second cycle that satisfies the KKM is 24 students, or 92.31%, while students who did not complete 2 of 7.69%. Activities that teachers do in the first cycle of 8 aspects or 53.33% of the student and aktivitasyang 7 aspects or 46.67%, while in the second cycle of activity that teachers do 14 or 93,33% aspects and activities of the student 13 aspects or 86.67%. Learning by using Field Trip increasing. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that by using the method of Field Trip essay writing descriptions of learning outcomes can be improved.
