Abstract
Indonesia is the world’s largest producer and exporter of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and serves as a key contributor to the country’s economy. The main export destination for Indonesian CPO is India, with Indonesia facing strong competition from Malaysia and Thailand. This research aims to analyze of Indonesian CPO export development, comparative advantage, and competitive advantage in palm oil compared to Malaysia and Thailand in Indian Market. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamic (EPD) apporach. The data collected from various national and international institutions, consisting of time series data from 2014-2023. The results showed that CPO in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand demonstrated a strong comparative advantage. The average RCA of Malaysia was higher than Indonesia and Thailand. Based on EPD analysis, Indonesian palm oil classified as a rising star, a position that CPO export share increased in line with the growing demand in the Indian market. This position implies that Indonesia has strong potential to further strengthen its export performance, therefore requiring supportive export policies, market diversification strategies, and efforts to enhance competitiveness to maintain and expand its market share in India.
