Abstract

Tunas Toyota Cilegon is an official Toyota automotive dealer that provides car sales, general repair (GR) and body repair (BR) in Cilegon City. It is known that in the GR section there are problems that indicate excessive workload. This research was conducted with the aim of measuring employees' mental workload, finding out the causes of mental workload. This research was conducted using the NASA-TLX method to measure mental workload. The results of research using the NASA-TLX method show that the mental workload of the workshop head, TL, MRA, FO PTM, and warehouse staff is in the optimal load category, while SA, FO GR, mechanics, parts heads, and partman are in the overload category. The conclusion of this study is that the mental workload of employees consisting of the head of the workshop, TL MRA, MRA, FO PTM and warehouse staff has an optimal load level of mental workload. While SA, FO GR, mechanics, heads of parts and partmen have mental overload workload. The causes of mental workload overload SA, FO GR, mechanics, heads of parts and partmen include, customers coming near closing, misdiagnosis, vehicles exceeding SA capacity, customer dissatisfaction, dirty workshop area, FO GR's inability to provide solutions to mechanic’s problems, vehicles exceeding FO GR capacity, choosing easy jobs, vehicles exceeding mechanic capacity, no tools to carry spare parts, dark tool room, slow computer, monthly stock errors, no tools to carry spare parts boxes. And the proposed improvements include implementing SA customer acceptance limits, increasing the number of SA, vehicle damage checklist sheets, customer service training, cleaning up work area, FO GR training, increasing the number of FO GRs, mechanic training, increasing the number of mechanics, providing tools to carry spare parts, improving lighting in the tool room, improving work facilities, inventory control training, and tools to carry spare part boxes.

Additional Information: Tunas Toyota Cilegon merupakan dealer otomotif resmi Toyota yang melayani penjualan mobil, general repair (GR) dan body repair (BR) di Kota Cilegon. Diketahui pada bagian GR terdapat permasalahan yang mengindikasikan adanya beban kerja berlebih. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengukur beban kerja mental karyawan, mengetahui penyebab beban kerja mental. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengunakan metode NASA-TLX untuk mengukur beban kerja mental. Hasil penelitian menggunakan metode NASA-TLX diketahui bahwa beban kerja mental Kepala bengkel, TL, MRA, FO PTM, dan staff gudang berada pada kategori optimal load, sedangkan SA, FO GR, mekanik, Kepala parts, dan partman berada pada kategori overload. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah beban kerja mental karywan yang terdiri dari kepala bengkel, TL MRA , MRA , FO PTM dan staff gudang memiliki tingkat beban kerja mental yang optimal load. Sedangkan SA, FO GR, mekanik, kepala parts dan partman memiliki beban kerja mental overload. Penyebab beban kerja mental SA, FO GR, mekanik, kepala parts dan partman overload diantaranya, pelanggan datang menjelang tutup, kesalahan diagnosa, kendaraan melebihi kapasitas SA, ketidakpuasan pelanggan, area bengkel kotor, ketidakmampuan FO GR memberikan solusi kendala mekanik, kendaraan melebihi kapasitas FO GR, memilih pekerjaan mudah, kendaraan melebihi kapasitas mekanik, tidak ada alat bantu membawa suku cadang, ruangan tools gelap, komputer lambat, kesalahan stok bulanan, tidak ada alat bantu membawa box suku cadang. Dan usulan perbaikan diantaranya menerapkan batas penerimanaan pelanggan SA, menambah jumlah SA, chekclist sheet kerusakan kendaraan, pelatihan pelayanan pelanggan, membersihkan area kerja, pelatihan FO GR, menambah jumlah FO GR, pelatihan mekanik, menambah jumlah mekanik, menyediakan alat bantu membawa suku cadang, memperbaiki pencahayan ruangan tools, meningkatkan fasilitas kerja, pelatihan inventory control, dan alat bantu membawa box suku cadang.
