Abstract

This study aims to test, analyze, and prove how the mediating role of work motivation in the relationship between work environment and work discipline on employee performance at the UPTD Puskesmas Kasemen, Serang City. The population in this study were all employees of UPTD Puskesmas Kasemen in Serang City with the sample used being 62 respondents using census sampling techniques. The study method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. This study collected data based on literature studies, interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 3.0. analysis tool. The study has the result that the Work Environment (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (Y), Work Discipline (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (Y), the Work Environment (X1) has a positive and insignificant effect on Work Motivation (Z ), Work Discipline (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Work Motivation (Z), Work Motivation (Z) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (Y), Work Motivation (Z) is unable to mediate the relationship between Work Environment (X1) and Employee Performance (Y), and Work Motivation (Z) is able to mediate the relationship between Work Discipline (X2) on Employee Performance (Y).

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis serta membuktikan bagaimana peran mediasi motivasi kerja pada hubungan lingkungan kerja dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada UPTD Puskesmas Kasemen Kota Serang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai UPTD Puskesmas Kasemen Kota Serang dengan sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 62 responden dengan menggunakan teknik sampling sensus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini melakukan pengumpulan data berdasarkan studi kepustakaan, wawancara, observasi serta kuesioner. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan alat analisis SmartPLS 3.0. Penelitian ini memiliki hasil bahwa Lingkungan Kerja (X1) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Y), Disiplin Kerja (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Y), Lingkungan Kerja (X1) berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap Motivasi Kerja (Z), Disiplin Kerja (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Motivasi Kerja (Z), Motivasi Kerja (Z) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Y), Motivasi Kerja (Z) tidak mampu memediasi hubungan Lingkungan Kerja (X1) terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Y), dan Motivasi Kerja (Z) mampu memediasi hubungan Disiplin Kerja (X2) terhadap Kinerja Pegawai (Y).
