Abstract

The most realeable assets held by public are cash money, both paper money and coins circulating in the community. In conditions of depressed economy, attention to the payment system sector is mandatory to ensure the liquidity that occurs within the market. Therefore, special attention is needed to the money supply, especially M1. In this study, independent variables were used, namely e-money transaction value, APMK transaction value, inflation and deposit interest rates. Meanwhile, the dependent variable used is the money supply (M1). By using the error correction model method (ECM), this study analyzes the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable in the long and short term. The results showed that there was not long-term relationship with e-money transaction value, APMK transaction value, inflation and deposit interest rates to the money supply (M1) where the testing stated that there was no cointegration between variables. In the short term, the value of e-money transactions and the APMK transaction value affect the money supply (M1). Meanwhile, inflation and deposit interest rates do not affect the money supply (M1). Simultaneously in the short term e-money transaction value, APMK transaction value, inflation and deposit interest rates affect the money supply (M1). Keywords: Money Supply (M1), E-Money, CBPI, Inflation, Deposit Interest Rate, ECM.
