Abstract

Surya Megah Sentosa is a Home Industry that produces furniture products. The existing problems are unnatural work patterns in production and material handling activities such as work postures that always squat, bend over 900, lift 50 kg and transport for a long time and are done repeatedly so that they can cause discomfort, fatigue and feel pain that can cause MSDs. The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage of the highest complaints using the NBM questionnaire, determine the REBA score, determine the weight of the load that should be lifted by workers using the NIOSH Lifting Equation method and the proposed improvements given to reduce the risk of MSDs. Based on the results of the percentage of NBM questionnaires that have the highest percentage including a percentage of 80% with a very painful category on the buttocks and right hand. Calculation of REBA scores of workers including in the very high category found in workers in the process of cutting iron, cutting marble and coloring with an REBA score of 11 so that it needs improvement at this time. The results of the calculation of the recommended load weight to be lifted by workers in the initial and final positions amounted to 9.609 kg and 11.26 kg. The LI value of the initial and final positions is 5.20 and 4.43. The proposal given to reduce the risk of MSDs at the welding, cutting and finishing stations is in the form of a table with the final REBA score of 3. The proposal given to the material handling activity is in the form of a trolley with the final value of RWL in the initial and final positions of 27.20 kg and 30.23 kg, the final value of LI in the initial and final positions of 1. 83 and 1.65.

Permasalahan yang ada yaitu potur kerja yang tidak alamiah pada aktivitas produksi dan material handling seperti postur kerja yang selalu jongkok, membungkuk melebihi 900, mengangkat seberat 50 kg dan mengangkut dalam waktu yang lama dan dilakukan secara berulang-ulang sehingga dapat menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan, kelelahan serta merasakan sakit yang dapat menyebabkan MSDs. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui persentase keluhan tertinggi menggunakan kuesioner NBM, mengetahui skor REBA, mengetahui berat beban yang seharusnya diangkat oleh pekerja menggunakan metode NIOSH Lifting Equation dan usulan perbaikan yang diberikan untuk mengurangi risiko MSDs. Berdasarkan hasil persentase kuesioner NBM yang memiliki persentase tertinggi diantaranya yaitu persentase sebesar 80% dengan kategori sangat sakit pada bokong dan tangan kanan. Perhitungan skor REBA para pekerja diantaranya pada kategori sangat tinggi terdapat pada pekerja proses pemotongan besi, pemotongan marble dan pewarnaan dengan skor REBA sebesar 11 sehingga perlu saat ini juga perbaikan. Hasil perhitungan berat beban yang direkomendasikan untuk diangkat oleh pekerja pada posisi awal dan akhir sebesar 9.609 kg dan 11.26 kg. Nilai LI posisi awal dan akhir sebesar 5.20 dan 4.43. Usulan yang diberikan untuk mengurangi risiko MSDs pada stasiun pengelasan, pemotongan dan finishing yaitu berupa meja dengan hasil skor akhir REBA sebesar 3. Usulan yang diberikan pada aktivitas material handling yaitu berupa troli dengan nilai akhir RWL posisi awal dan akhir sebesar 27.20 kg dan 30.23 kg, nilai akhir LI posisi awal dan akhir sebesar 1. 83 dan 1.65.
