Abstract

Gastroenteritis affects about 3-5 billion adults and children in the world per year. Gastroenteritis is a disease whose existence is still a health problem in the world, including in Indonesia (WHO, 2018). This study uses a descriptive research design. The data obtained were collecting data using interview techniques and research observations on pediatric patients with gastroenteritis with discomfort (pain) who were treated in the Flamboyan room at RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang. The causes of gastroenteritis are divided into two groups, namely infectious diarrhea and non-infectious diarrhea. One of the clinical features of gastroenteritis is pain in the abdomen. One of the non-pharmacological pain management strategies is to reduce pain response using warm compresses. Warm compresses can reduce pain / pain and will support the wound healing process or the inflammatory process (Stevens et al, 2012). In this study, the authors found that both patients complained of pain due to gastroenteritis. The implementation is doing relaxation therapy by applying dry warm compresses to the painful abdomen. Pain problem = in patient 1 with 4 days of treatment the pain has not been completely resolved, while for patient 2 the pain problem has been resolved on the third day and the patient goes home on the fourth day. Additional Information:	Penyakit gastroenteritis diderita sekitar 3-5 milyar orang dewasa dan anak-anak didunia per tahunnya. Gastroenteritis merupakan penyakit yang keberadaannya masih menjadi masalah kesehatan didunia, termasuk juga di Indonesia (WHO, 2018). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan. Data yang didapatkan yaitu melakukan pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi penelitian pada pasien anak dengan gastroenteritis dengan gangguan rasa nyaman (nyeri) yang di rawat di ruang Flamboyan RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang. Penyebab gastroenteritis dibagi dalam dua kelompok yaitu diare infeksius dan diare non infeksius Salah satu gambaran klinis dari Gastroenteritis adalah nyeri pada bagian abdomen. Salah satu strategi penatalaksanaan nyeri secara non farmakologis yaitu dengan tindakan menurunkan respons nyeri menggunakan kompres hangat. Kompres hangat dapat mengurangi sakit/nyeri dan akan menunjang proses pemyembuhan luka atau proses peradangan (Stevens dkk, 2012). Dalam penelitian ini Penulis menemukan hasil bahwa kedua pasien sama-sama mengeluh nyeri karena Gastroenteritis. Implememntasi yang dilakukan adalah melakukan terapi relaksasi dengan melakukan kompres hangat kering pada bagian abdomen yang terasa nyeri. Masalah nyeri = pada pasien 1 dengan perawatan 4 hari nyeri belum teratasi sepenuhnya, sedangkan untuk pasien 2 masalah nyeri sudah teratasi di hari ketiga dan pasien pulang pada hari keempat.
