	bibo:abstract "Terjunan didefinisikan sebagai bangunan yang dibuat di tempat tertentu dengan memotong saluran, sehingga aliran air setelah melewati bangunan tersebut akan mengalami pengurangan energi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi debit dan variasi tinggi terjunan terhadap karakteristik aliran pada terjunan bebas vertikal. Karakteristik aliran yang dimaksud adalah tinggi muka air, kecepatan aliran dan bilangan froude.\r\nPenelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Terpadu Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa Sindangsari. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan melakukan kalibrasi pipa pitot terlebih dahulu, kemudian meneliti karakteristik aliran pada variasi debit dan ketinggian terjunan, yaitu pada ketinggian terjunan 0,15 m, 0,20 m, 0,25 m, dan 0,30 m. Variasi debit mengakibatkan peningkatan elevasi muka air di hulu dan di hilir, sedangkan terjadi penurunan elevasi muka air di olakan. Terjadi peningkatan kecepatan aliran dan angka Froude di hulu dan di olakan, pada hilir terjadi penurunan kecepatan aliran. Variasi tinggi terjunan mengakibatkan kenaikan elevasi muka air di hulu, olakan, dan hilir aliran. Peningkatan kecepatan aliran dan angka Froude juga terjadi pada hulu, olakan dan hilir aliran. Kecepatan aliran dan angka Froude meningkat dari aliran di hulu ke aliran di olakan, sedangkan terjadi penurunan kecepatan aliran dan angka Froude dari aliran di olakan ke aliran di hilir."^^xsd:string;
