note: Perkembangan media sosial yang pesat di era digital meningkatkan risiko keamanan sistem login akibat serangan otomatis berupa bot yang dapat menyebabkan penyalahgunaan akun dan kebocoran data. CAPTCHA digunakan sebagai mekanisme keamanan tambahan untuk membedakan pengguna manusia dan program otomatis, namun efektivitas penerapannya perlu dievaluasi, khususnya bagi pengguna disabilitas non-tunanetra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan keamanan sistem login media sosial simulasi setelah penerapan CAPTCHA serta mengevaluasi efektivitas Google reCAPTCHA, CAPTCHA berbasis gambar, dan CAPTCHA penjumlahan dalam mencegah akses otomatis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian terapan dengan model pengembangan Waterfall. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui uji bot sederhana, kuesioner, dan pengukuran waktu penyelesaian CAPTCHA, yang dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada sistem login tanpa CAPTCHA seluruh percobaan login bot berhasil dilakukan, sedangkan setelah penerapan CAPTCHA seluruh percobaan login bot mengalami kegagalan. Selain itu, mayoritas responden mampu menyelesaikan CAPTCHA dalam waktu relatif singkat. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CAPTCHA memberikan peningkatan tingkat keamanan sistem login media sosial simulasidan dapat digunakan sebagai mekanisme pengaman tambahan
abstract: The rapid growth of social media in the digital era has increased security risks in login systems due to automated attacks in the form of bots, which can lead to account misuse and data breaches. CAPTCHA is commonly used as an additional security mechanism to distinguish human users from automated programs; however, its effectiveness needs to be evaluated, particularly for users with non-visual disabilities. This study aims to analyze the improvement in security of a simulated social media login system after the implementation of CAPTCHA and to evaluate the effectiveness of Google reCAPTCHA, image-based CAPTCHA, and arithmetic CAPTCHA in preventing automated access. The research adopts an applied research approach using the Waterfall development model. Data were collected through simple bot testing, user questionnaires, and measurements of CAPTCHA completion time, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that in the login system without CAPTCHA, all bot login attempts were successful, whereas after the implementation of CAPTCHA, all bot login attempts failed. In addition, most respondents were able to complete the CAPTCHA within a relatively short time. These findings indicate that the implementation of CAPTCHA enhances the security level of simulated social media login systems and can be used as an additional security mechanism.
