Two examples are ETABS (Extended Three-Dimensional Analysis of Building Systems) and TSD (Tekla Structural Designer). The use of such software minimizes the risk of errors in complex calculations. This study will discuss the comparison of intermediate moment resisting frame (IMRF) design using ETABS and TSD with the aim of determining the differences in seismic force, inter-floor deflections, and structural element designs (floor slabs, beams, and columns) at the design capacity ratio of these elements. The building is modeled as a 10-story office building located in IKN with moderate soil conditions. The building structure design refers to SNI 2847:2019, SNI 1726:2019, and SNI 1727:2020. The results show that ETABS and TSD have similar base seismic force, with the largest difference on the 10th floor being 0,801 kN (0,67%) in both directions. The total inter-story drift (displacement) of TSD is greater in both directions with a difference of 1,534 mm (4,348%) in the X direction and 1,622 mm (3,570%) in the Y direction. In the review of the 10th floor and the largest internal load, ETABS and TSD produced a flexural reinforcement ratio of 0,474 and 0,549, respectively. The design of beam and column elements was reviewed on the 1st floor, with the ETABS and TSD reinforcement ratios being 0,480 and 0,466, respectively.QA MathematicsQA76 Computer softwareTA Engineering (General).
