The objection raised by a party without legitimate ownership led to the postponement of compensation payment and compelled the implementing agency to use the consignment mechanism as regulated in Article 42 of Law Number 2 of 2012 concerning Land Acquisition for Development in the Public Interest. Using a normative juridical method with statutory and case approaches to analyze Decision Number 33/Pdt.G/2023/PN.Srg, this research aims to examine the application of the principle of legal certainty in granting compensation for land acquisition and its legal implications for the parties involved. The results show that the implementation of the legal certainty principle was initially not optimal due to objections from unauthorized parties, creating legal uncertainty for the rightful landowner.
