"This study explores the role of the Falou application in improving students’ speaking skills at SMAN 3 Serang. Using a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and questionnaires as instruments, the research aimed to answer three main problems: how Falou supports students in speaking, what challenges they encounter, and how the app compares with classroom practice. The findings indicate that Falou successfully enhanced students’ confidence, improved their pronunciation through instant feedback, and increased their participation in class activities. Students reported feeling less anxious when practicing privately with the app, which encouraged them to speak more freely. Despite these benefits, challenges such as unstable internet connections, limited vocabulary, and over-reliance on the app were identified as obstacles.Furthermore, while Falou was more effective in providing repeated practice and corrective feedback, traditional classroom learning remained essential for authentic interaction and fluency.
