Angling description: Freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus), commonly known as redclaw, is a promising aquaculture commodity due to its dual potential as both ornamental and food species. However, the growth rate of this species remains relatively slow and not yet optimal. This experimental study aimed to determine the optimal dosage of rGH immersion on the growth performance of redclaw juveniles. The experiment was conducted over 45 days (August–September 2023) using completely randomized design with five treatments and four replications: (A) control, (B) 1.5 mg/L, (C) 3 mg/L, (D) 4.5 mg/L, and (E) 6 mg/L rGH. The results showed that immersion in rGH significantly improved growth performance. The highest absolute weight was observed in treatment E (1.04±0.33 g), highest absolute length in treatment E (1.3±0.04 cm), highest specific growth rate (SGR) in treatment E (2.52±0.03%/day), Molting frequency was highest in treatment E (1.38±0.08 molts/individual), highest protein efficiency ratio (PER) in treatment E (0.8±0.01 g), Feed efficiency was also highest in treatment E (45.37±1.87%), Survival rate was highest in treatment E (85±6.38%), highest hepatosomatic index (HSI) in treatment E (7.08±0.25%). Proximate analysis revealed the highest crude protein content in treatment C (16.5%), while the highest moisture (80.26%) and lipid content (2.03%) were recorded in treatment E. Water quality parameters: temperature 24.5–29.6°C, pH 7.73–8.75, dissolved oxygen 6.2–7.8 mg/L, and ammonia concentration <0.25 mg/L.
