Electronics Nuclear engineering description: This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Water Treatment Plant (WTP) prototype as an alternative solution to overcome clean water scarcity in Pontang Legon Village, Serang Regency. The developed system combines electrocoagulation and multi-layer filtration processes consisting of a sediment filter, magnesium (Mg) cartridge filter, cation resin filter, and chlorine taste odor filter to improve brackish water quality into cleaner water. An ESP32 microcontroller is used as the main controller and is integrated with a DS18B20 temperature sensor, a PH-4502C pH sensor, and a TDS sensor to monitor water quality parameters in real time through the ThingSpeak platform, ThingView application, and an LCD display The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp development model, which includes preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment phases. The experimental results show that at a voltage of 12 volts, variations in processing time significantly affect treatment performance. The highest pH improvement efficiency of 99.01% was achieved at 90 minutes, while the highest TDS removal efficiency of 22.41% was obtained at 60 minutes. The IoT monitoring system is able to display stable and reliable data.
