description: Long bean production in Bogor Regency has experienced a significant decline. One of the triggers is insect pest attacks, especially during the generative phase, which causes significant losses. Although it is known that pest problems are already threatening, ecological data regarding the community structure (diversity and dominance) of insect pests in long bean plantations during the generative phase in the Susukan Village area are still not specifically available. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the types of insect pests, analyze the diversity index (H') using Shannon-Wiener, and determine the dominance index (C) using Simpson. The study was conducted in three land locations in Susukan Village, Bojonggede District, with sampling for four weeks using a combination of sweep nets, yellow pan traps, and light traps. A total of 141 insect species were found, of which 61 species were identified as pests with a total population of 2,269 individuals. The main pests found included Ophiomyia phaseoli, Aphis craccivora, Empoasca fabae, Maruca vitrata, Monolepta leayana, Etiella zinckenella, Hymenia recurvalis,   Megalurothrips usitatus, and Spodoptera litura. The analysis results showed an average Diversity Index (H') of 1.88 (moderate), and a Dominance Index (C) of 0.25 (low). Moderate levels of diversity and low dominance indicate a relatively stable insect pest community. These data serve as an important reference for determining ecologically based pest control strategies.
