note: Latar belakang: Kadar hemoglobin merupakan indikator penting kesehatan ibu
hamil. Rendahnya kadar hemoglobin umumnya disebabkan oleh ketidakpatuhan
dalam mengonsumsi tablet zat besi (Fe) selama kehamilan. Menurut WHO (2024),
sekitar 40% ibu hamil di dunia mengalami kadar hemoglobin di bawah normal. Di
Indonesia prevalensinya mencapai 48,9%, sedangkan di Provinsi Banten berkisar
35,2–37,7%. Kondisi ini menunjukkan pentingnya kepatuhan konsumsi tablet Fe
untuk mencegah anemia pada ibu hamil. Tujuan: mengidentifikasi hubungan
kepatuhan konsumsi tablet Fe dengan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil trimester
II dan III di UPTD Puskesmas Singandaru Kota Serang. Metode: Penelitian
kuantitatif dengan desain observasi korelasional dengan pendekatan cross
sectional. Sampel berjumlah 91 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik
purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji normalitas Kolmogorov–
Smirnov dan uji korelasi Mann Whitney U. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
sebagian besar responden patuh mengonsumsi tablet Fe sebanyak 55 orang (60,4%)
dan memiliki kadar hemoglobin normal sebanyak 56 orang (61,5%). Analisis
statistik menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepatuhan
konsumsi tablet Fe dengan kadar hemoglobin (p-value = 0,000) dengan tingkat
hubungan sangat kuat (r = 0,972). Kesimpulan: Semakin rendah kepatuhan ibu
hamil dalam mengonsumsi tablet Fe, semakin meningkat risiko terjadinya anemia
selama kehamilan.

abstract: Background: Hemoglobin level is an important indicator of maternal health during
pregnancy. Low hemoglobin levels are commonly caused by non-adherence to iron
(Fe) tablet consumption during pregnancy. According to the World Health
Organization (WHO, 2024), approximately 40% of pregnant women worldwide
have hemoglobin levels below normal. In Indonesia, the prevalence reaches 48.9%,
while in Banten Province it ranges from 35.2% to 37.7%. This condition highlights
the importance of adherence to iron tablet consumption to prevent anemia in
pregnant women.Objective: To identify the relationship between adherence to iron
tablet consumption and hemoglobin levels among pregnant women in the second
and third trimesters at UPTD Puskesmas Singandaru, Serang City. Method: This
study employed a quantitative correlational observational design with a cross-
sectional approach. A total of 91 respondents were selected using purposive
sampling. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test and
the Mann–Whitney U correlation test. Results: The results showed that most
respondents were adherent to iron tablet consumption, with 55 respondents
(60.4%), and had normal hemoglobin levels, with 56 respondents (61.5%).
Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between adherence to iron
tablet consumption and hemoglobin levels (p-value = 0.000), with a very strong
correlation (r = 0.972). Conclusion: Lower adherence to iron tablet consumption
increases the risk of anemia during pregnancy.
