One strategy to increase students’ knowledge of healthy snacks is through interactive activities, which are considered effective in improving knowledge, attitudes, and snack selection practices. This study aims to determine the effect of different healthy snack education media on improving the knowledge and attitudes of junior high school students at SMPN 6 Kota Serang regarding snack selection. This study is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted on 88 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Serang. Data collection was carried out using knowledge and attitude questionnaires. Education was provided in three sessions using posters and crossword puzzles. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using paired t-tests, Wilcoxon, and Mann-Whitney tests. The test results show that there is an effect of education through posters on students’ knowledge (p=0.001) and attitudes (p=0.007), as well as education through crossword puzzles on students’ knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.001). The test results also showed that there were no significant differences in the effectiveness of educational media on students' knowledge (p=0.798) and attitudes (p=0.880). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that nutrition education using posters and crossword puzzles can improve students' knowledge and attitudes toward choosing healthy snacks at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Serang.
