description: School rules were a set of regulations and systems that must be obeyed to create a safe, orderly, and controlled environment, thereby preventing negative behavior. The implementation of school rules needed to be supported by student discipline, as discipline reflected students’ compliance with applicable regulations. The effectiveness of school rules depended on students’ awareness of discipline; conversely, violations required sanctions as a form of guidance.  This study aimed to describe the implementation of school rules in improving student discipline at SMAN 2 Kota Serang. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach.   Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Theresults showed that the enforcement of school rules at SMAN 2 Kota Serang played an important role in shaping student discipline, particularly in dress code compliance, punctuality, and classroom behavior. The point-based violation system and tiered sanctions encourage students’ awareness of discipline, while teachers, parents, and the student council (OSIS) contributed through exemplary behavior, guidance, and supervision. Overall, the implementation of school rules not only promoted short-term compliance but also instilled long-term discipline values that had the potential to become part of the school culture.
