However, intellectual limitations often cause these children to experience difficulties in recognizing and comprehending simple words. This condition requires the use of engaging and interactive learning media to support a more effective learning process. This study aimed to develop Augmented Reality (AR)–based flashcard learning media to improve the functional reading skills of children with moderate intellectual disabilities at SKhN 02 Lebak. The development model employed was ADDIE, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages, with formative evaluation applied. The research subjects consisted of three children with moderate intellectual disabilities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation, and learning achievement tests. The validation results showed that the media obtained an average score of 92.95% from material experts and 95.83% from media experts, which fall into the “very feasible” category. The effectiveness test using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value was < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results.
