Ineffective therapeutic communication may decrease patient satisfaction with nursing services. A preliminary study at Banten Regional General Hospital (RSUD Banten) showed that some patients were still dissatisfied with nurses’ communication during hospitalization. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between the implementation of therapeutic communication and the level of patient satisfaction in inpatient wards at RSUD Banten Method: This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional method. The population consisted of 298 inpatients, with 83 respondents selected using Slovin’s formula at a 10% margin of error. The instruments used were the therapeutic communication questionnaire (18 items) and the patient satisfaction questionnaire (15 items) using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test at a 0.05 significance level. The findings are expected to provide an overview of the relationship between therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction and serve as a reference for improving the quality of nursing care services at RSUD Banten. Results: The implementation of therapeutic communication in the inpatient ward of RSUD Banten showed positive outcomes, with 72.3% of patients reporting that the communication provided by nurses was within the therapeutic category. Patient satisfaction levels were also high, with 72.3% of patients expressing satisfaction with the services received. The ChiSquare test yielded a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant relationship between therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction. Conclusion: There is a significant association between the application of therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction. More effective therapeutic communication by nurses is associated with higher levels of patient satisfaction in the inpatient ward of RSUD Banten. date: 2026-02-15 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/19/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_FullText.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/20/Luli%20Supiah_884220021_01.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/3/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_02.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/4/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_03.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/5/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_04.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/6/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_05.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/7/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_Reff.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/8/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_Lamp.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/58505/9/Luli%20Supiah_8884220021_CP.pdf identifier: Supiah, Luli (2026) HUBUNGAN PENERAPAN KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK DENGAN TINGKAT KEPUASAN PASIEN DI RUANG RAWAT INAP RSUD BANTEN.
