High schools description: This study aimed to describe the role of sociology teachers in addressing bullying among students at SMA Negeri 7 Kota Serang. The research focused on identifying the forms of bullying occurring within the school environment and examining the strategies employed by sociology teachers to respond to and prevent such acts through the integration of social values and community norms. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, and data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using the processes of reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings revealed that bullying at the school manifested in both verbal and non-verbal forms, including teasing, exclusion, and peer intimidation. The sociology teacher played a central role as an educator, mentor, and social controller by promoting a safe and ethical learning atmosphere through class discussions, moral instruction, and the reinforcement of students’ social empathy. Based on Max Weber’s theory of social action, the teacher’s efforts were understood as rational actions directed toward educational values and goals that encourage positive social behavior among students.
