description: This study aims to explore the influence of parenting styles on the oral communication skills of deaf children, based on Harlock’s theory, which identifies three types of parenting styles: authoritarian, authoritative, and permissive. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions, with validity ensured through triangulation. The results indicate that permissive parenting was applied by the parents of child F at SKh Samantha, while authoritative parenting was applied by the parents of child I at HSPG Homeschooling and the parents of child A at SKh N 01. Child A’s oral communication skills have developed well, enabling two-way communication, supported by authoritative parenting that fosters self-confidence. Child F can communicate orally in a simple manner but still experiences difficulty understanding instructions due to cognitive limitations. Meanwhile, child I has developed good oral communication skills and can use gestures or writing when facing difficulties.
