The quality of the galvanized coating is strongly influenced by process parameters, particularly flux composition and dipping temperature. This study aims to analyze the effect of Ammonium Chloride Number (ACN) composition and dipping temperature on the quality of hot dip galvanized coatings on JIS G 3141 steel. The ACN variations used were 1.5, 1.75, and 2.00 with dipping temperatures of 450°C, 500°C, and 550°C and a constant dipping time of 45 seconds. The tests conducted included coating thickness measurement, visual observation, microstructural analysis, elemental composition analysis using SEM-EDX, and corrosion resistance testing using the potentiodynamic polarization method. The results indicate that increasing ACN values and dipping temperatures tend to increase coating thickness and improve microstructural homogeneity. Furthermore, appropriate combinations of ACN and dipping temperature result in a more stable distribution of Fe and Zn elements and a lower corrosion rate of the galvanized coating ER -
