Health services are currently experiencing very  rapid development In carrying out their dutis,nurses have professional  responsibilities that must be fulfilled to ensure the quality of healthcare  services provided to the community.Nurses are required to have the  necessary competencies, comply with legal regulations, and adhere to the  nursing code of ethics.Nurses accountability includes ethical,  administrative, and disciplinary responsibilities in accordance with  statutory regulations, the nursing code of ethics, and standard operating  procedures.On the other hand, nurses are also entitled to legal protection  when carrying out their practice in accordance with established standards.  Ethical accountability refers to the moral obligation to consider patient  safety and emphasizes the importance of accountability and integrity in  providing healthcare services.Legal protection is an effort undertaken to  safeguard citizens in accordance with legal regulations. Legal protection  can be carried out preventively and repressively. The purpose of this study  is to examine nurses’ ethical accountability in providing patient care. In  line with its typology, this research is classified as both normative  juridical and empirical, commonly referred to as sociological legal  research or field research, employing a qualitative method. The study  utilizes secondary data consisting of primary legal materials, secondary  legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. The results obtained from this  research include practical findings as well as conceptual findings.
