RJ has a variety of useful biological activities, but is very sensitive so that improper processing can result a decrease in its properties and biological activity during the storage. The aim of this research is to obtain RJ extract and RJ cream as raw materials for cosmetics and biosupplements, identify the content and bioactive compounds of RJ pure, get a solvent concentration that can separate more proteins, find out the effect of glycerin in RJ cream, identify the bioactive compounds contained and characterize RJ extract and cream. This research was carried out using the Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction (UAE) method with varying solvent concentrations (ethanol 70, 80 and 95%) then carried out protein analysis, LC-MS/MS, FTIR, and antioxidant activity test (DPPH) on the extraction results. From this research, it is known that RJ positively contains several phytochemical compounds and has a water content 67.50%, ash 1.7%, fat 0.34% and protein 16.09%. The best solvent concentration is 95% with a protein content of 0.53% (extract) and 15.2% (cream). The addition of glycerin is able to maintain storage stability of RJ cream.
