"Seren Taun is a traditional ritual that continues to be practiced by the indigenous\r\ncommunity of Kasepuhan Guradog as an expression of gratitude for agricultural\r\nharvests and as a means of maintaining harmonious relations between humans,\r\nnature, and the Creator. This study aims to descriptively examine the stages of the\r\nSeren Taun ritual, identify the meanings embedded in each stage, and analyze the\r\nstrategies employed by the indigenous community to sustain the continuity of the\r\nritual amid ongoing social changes. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative\r\napproach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.\r\nData validity was ensured through the application of technique triangulation and\r\nsource triangulation. The findings indicate that the Seren Taun ritual is carried out\r\nthrough a series of structured stages that are interconnected with one another. Each\r\nstage embodies symbolic meanings that reflect religious values, social solidarity,\r\nadherence to customary norms, and respect for nature as a source of life.\r\nFurthermore, the indigenous community of Kasepuhan Guradog employs various\r\nstrategies to preserve the Seren Taun ritual, including the intergenerational\r\ntransmission of customary values, the active involvement of younger generations in\r\ntraditional activities, and the strengthening of customary institutions in regulating\r\nand supervising the implementation of the ritual.
