description: Seren Taun is a traditional ritual that continues to be practiced by the indigenous  community of Kasepuhan Guradog as an expression of gratitude for agricultural  harvests and as a means of maintaining harmonious relations between humans,  nature, and the Creator. This study aims to descriptively examine the stages of the  Seren Taun ritual, identify the meanings embedded in each stage, and analyze the  strategies employed by the indigenous community to sustain the continuity of the  ritual amid ongoing social changes. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative  approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.  Data validity was ensured through the application of technique triangulation and  source triangulation. The findings indicate that the Seren Taun ritual is carried out  through a series of structured stages that are interconnected with one another. Each  stage embodies symbolic meanings that reflect religious values, social solidarity,  adherence to customary norms, and respect for nature as a source of life.  Furthermore, the indigenous community of Kasepuhan Guradog employs various  strategies to preserve the Seren Taun ritual, including the intergenerational  transmission of customary values, the active involvement of younger generations in  traditional activities, and the strengthening of customary institutions in regulating  and supervising the implementation of the ritual. Thus, the Seren Taun ritual  functions not only as a cultural tradition but also as an essential means of  maintaining social identity and ensuring the continuity of local wisdom within the  indigenous community of Kasepuhan Guradog.
