"This study aims to identify the types of medicinal plants, the parts of plants used, their habitus, the diseases they treat, how they are processed and used, and the implications for education in schools and communities. This study is a survey using three data collection techniques, namely semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data collection was carried out using snowball sampling. The results of the study show that the people of Kiara Payung Village use 79 types of medicinal plants from 48 different families. The family with the highest usage is Zingiberaceae at 11%. Herbs dominate at 46%, most of which are obtained from cultivation. The categories of diseases that are often treated with medicinal plants are common symptoms such as internal heat, nosebleeds, fever, colds, and others. The most widely used part of medicinal plants is the leaves (55%). The most common method of processing medicinal plants is pounding (36%), while the most common method of use is drinking (44%). The highest FIC was obtained for urological disorders at 0.67. The highest FL and ROP were obtained for hibiscus with FL at 83.33% and ROP at 33.33%. The medicinal plant with the highest UV was hibiscus with a value of 0.50.
