EPrints Repository UNTIRTAPENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN LITERASI STEM PADA KONSEP BIOTEKNOLOGIAtikaWulandariauthorThis study aimed to develop a STEM literacy instrument on biotechnology concepts, to determine the feasibility of the instrument based on expert judgment, and to examine users’ responses to the developed test instrument. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Berkeley Evaluation and Assessment Research (BEAR) Assessment System design, which consists of the construct map, item design, outcome space, and measurement model stages. The developed instruments comprised a STEM literacy knowledge test, a STEM attitude questionnaire, and a STEM skills observation sheet. Instrument validation was conducted by five experts, while the field test of the STEM literacy knowledge test involved 126 senior high school students in Banten Province, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the Rasch model with the assistance of the R program (eRm package). The feasibility test results indicated that the instrument was suitable for use with necessary revisions. Rasch model analysis revealed that the STEM literacy knowledge test demonstrated acceptable reliability (0.6708), satisfactory validity, and that students’ average ability was higher than the item difficulty level. Students’ responses to the test instrument fell into the practical category, with an average percentage of 77%.
